Christmas Cocktails

Happy Blogmas Day 19  🙂

Who doesn’t like a cheeky Cocktail this time of year, I know I do 😉 Today I thought I share a few of my favourites and how you can make them at home yourself 🙂

Brandy Alexander: Makes 1

  • 40 ml cognac
  • 30 ml Crème de cacao white
  • 15 ml almond milk
  • 15 ml double cream

Shake all the ingredients in a shaker with ice, then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with a small spoon of whipped cream

Hot Cider: Makes 6-8

  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 lemon (sliced thickly)
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 2 cups Whiskey
  • cinnamon sticks

Put the cider, water, lemon, and sugar in a large saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook, stirring, about 5 minutes or until the sugar dissolves then stir in the Whiskey and serve with a cinnamon stick.

Irish Coffee: Makes 6-8

  • 3 cups heavy or whipping cream
  • 7 tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup Irish Whiskey
  • 6 cups rich, hot brewed coffee
  • Grated nutmeg or ground cinnamon (optional)

Whip the cream with half of the sugar until stiff peaks form. Mix the rest of the sugar, coffee and Whiskey together and pour into glasses, place a spoon of cream on top and sprinkle cinnamon or nutmeg on garnish 🙂

Do you enjoy a good cocktail around the holidays? If so let me know in the comments of one you think I should try 🙂

All The Best
