Best of The Best Awards 2016

So last month I had the pleasure of attending the Best of The Best Irish Hair Awards in Mansion House Dublin. If you’ve never been to a Hair Awards Show before be prepared! What these people came up with will shock you, in a good way of course 🙂 The amount of time and effort that goes into creating a Visionary Hair piece is extraordinary and my hat is off to them all.

So what is The Best of The Best? Well, it’s exactly what it says on the tin, it’s a celebration of the best of Irish Hairdressing, Makeup Artistry and Hair Photography, with new categories added every year 🙂 I’ve heard about it for years and even seen some of the entries but never actually attending the ceremony and I have to say how sorry I am for that. It was a fantastic night!  I was honored to be asked to attend and get to meet some of the stylists who created these amazing hair pieces. A huge thank you has to go out to the events organizer Maeve O’Healy-Harte who’s been doing this for almost 20 years!! Can’t wait to see what next years show will hold 😀 Now without further ado, here are the amazing pictures from The Best of The Best 2016!

    1. What you might be even more surprised is that some of the outfits are also made from hair!

I should say so! But then again, it isn’t uncommon to hear of horse hair being used to weave with. I suppose human hair, spun like wool, could be strong enough! This is really interesting…such a great post!
